Trains to Palani are temporarily suspended due to ongoing gauge conversion from Podanur Coimbatore, Palakkad to Dindigul. The broad gauge service are expected to start service from 2013. The Murugan Temple is about 2 km from the railway station and can be reached by autorickshaw or bus.
